My husband and I both have the travel bug, so in our dreams we'd love to go to a whole bunch of places. This page is devoted to places that we'd like to go eventually and why we're interested in going.

The Manubu Village, The Philippines

When Josiah was 14, he and his father went to visit some missionaries that are affiliated with our church who are stationed in the Philippines. Since then, he has always wanted to go back, and the missionaries are gettng ready to retire in a couple of years, so we'd like to try to go and visit them soon. We're hoping, God willing, that we will be able to go to the Philippines this summer.

France

France is one of my dream trips. I've been studying French for years now, and I'd love the chance to explore France to experience the culture and practice the language.

Germany

Germany is another of my dream trips. Shortly after I started studying French, I started studying German. German was always a language I wanted to learn because part of my family comes from Germany. It would be especially meaningful to me (because of my familial ties to Germany) to be able to go to Germany to practice my German and to experience the culture.

Norwich, Vermont

Why Norwich, Vermont you ask? Well, because the King Arthur Flour Company is located in Norwich. They specialize in quality flour for baking. Whether you want white flour (never bleached or bromated) or whole wheat flour, they've got it, and man that stuff is good! I never thought that flour would matter that much in baked goods. I mean, white flour is white flour, right? Wrong! Baked goods just come out better with King Arthur. So anyway, they offer baking classes down there, and my friend and I went there once for a pasta class and had a blast. I've been telling my husband about it since then, and he said it sounded like fun. I know he likes to bake, so for his birthday this year I'm taking him down to King Arthur for a class using fresh strawberries (his favorite) to bake with.
